    3D Printing introduces students to a new world of possibilities! This class is for students who have no or limited experience with 3D Printing and is ideal for students who like to draw, design and see their creations come to life. Students will learn the ropes of 3D modeling and printing using Tinkercad to design their jewelry or wearables creations from scratch, 2 of which they get to print and take home. To allow everyone to print their creations, items may have to be scaled down to allow printing during class times.     For students who are currently playing in 6th, 7th and 8th grade band, the Advanced Middle School Band is a full band rehearsal offered Mondays - Thursdays, 45 minutes each day for four weeks, and concludes with a concert for parents the evening of the last day. Registration for Valleyfair Performance Field trip will occur at a different date.   • Bloxel Builders: Video Game Design

    Calling all game developers! Students in this camp enjoy creating their own games with character, enemy and plot development. Using the Bloxels Edu system, they turn their game ideas into a digital video game. They will use a special game board and blocks to design the characters, levels, and other art for their games. They then capture their creations using the Bloxels app, where they edit and customize their game, deciding how each of the elements interact and behave. Students will walk away with a fun playable game on a tablet or computer, and invaluable experience with logic and programming. Presented by Engineering for Kids. Explore data science and artificial intelligence with Wells Fargo in a five-day, hands-on online learning program that will be developed and taught by experienced instructors from the Wells Fargo technical community along with guest lecturers from other businesses. The Program will provide a one week introduction to: Developing intelligent machines with Python Data exploration and visualization techniques Statistical modeling and machine learning.     The Drone Maker Engineering Camp is an engaging, hands-on experience that combines theory with practical application. Designed for beginners, students will work in teams of 3 and use special classroom drones to learn about drones, the principles of flight, and their real world applications.   • Extreme Robotics: Battlebots

    This camp will energize and excite students by combining the LEGO® building system's versatility and the Mindstorms EV3 (the most sophisticated microcomputer brick ever made by LEGO®). Working each day in teams, students will construct fun LEGO® models, experiment with programs, and compete in robotic challenges. Robot building, block programming, and teamwork will be part of each day's activities. The final challenges will be centered around hitting targets and a sumo battle.     Flag Football camps provide players with a well-rounded football experience in a little to no contact safe environment. Key elements of passing, catching, rushing, and defense will be taught and practiced daily, and players will be grouped and challenged at an appropriate level in a fun, positive environment while learning values of ‘Respect, Hustle, and Pride’.   • Global Cuisine from Scratch - Grades 6-9

    Student chefs will be engaged in cooking homemade specialty dishes from around the globe. Imagine making authentic homemade tortillas, guacamole, and quesadillas. Learn to make pasta from scratch and create an amazing sauce to with it. If you love Asian food, let's prepare our own Chinese fried rice and homemade egg rolls.
