Back by popular demand! Does your young artist love to draw? This introductory drawing camp teaches kids the basic techniques and principles of drawing. We’ll encourage creativity and imagination, while experimenting with a variety of drawing materials and techniques. The kids will even receive their own sketchbook that they will get to keep and draw in throughout the camp! Art is smart, and this camp proves it! During this camp we’ll explore S.T.E.A.M. (Science-Technology-Engineering-Art-Math) concepts in creative ways, resulting in fridge-worthy masterpieces, tons of experiential learning, and loads of messy fun. We’ll design our own mini playgrounds, learn about M.C. Escher and Picasso, make our own lava lamps, and more. Presented by KidCreate Studios. Be inspired by art created by Vincent Van Gogh, Claude Monet, Gustav Klimt and Pablo Picasso. We will recreate famous works of art like Van Gogh’s Field of Irises, Monet’s Sailboat at Le Petit Gennevilliers, Klimt’s The Sunflower, and Picasso’s Colombe- all in clay. Glitter, sequins and jewels, oh my! We will be-dazzle all the art projects we craft in this camp. We’ll make tons of sparkly projects including; bracelets, glittery snow globes, and a jewelry box. We will even glitter-fy our fingernails! The kids will learn different art terms and techniques as they work with air-dry clay, Model Magic®, watercolors and more dazzling art supplies.
