Welcome to Arendelle where we join Anna, Elsa, Olaf, and the rest of the gang in this fun-filled camp! Students will learn songs and scenes from the popular Disney movie, Frozen. Come try out different characters, styles, and songs while playing theater games and learning important stage skills. Family and friends are invited to a special performance on the last day of camp. Focus is put on developing imagination, social skills, and a positive self image through the performing arts. Presented by Character Kids Drama. From a galaxy far, far away, Star Wars comes to life! Work on a stop-motion animated Star Wars short. Participants will create and design out-of-this-world scenes, vehicles, starships and props. 3D Printing: Jewelry Fabrication & Arts

Bring your creations to life in this 3D printing class. The ancient craft of jewelry making is brought to the modern world using TinkerCad and 3D printers. Students will learn to build 2D and 3D models on the computer using CAD software. They will design and print a pair of earrings, a ring, or a pendant in this class. Additionally, they will get to bring home two of their 3D creations. Printing and material fees are included. Presented by Tech Academy. 3D Printing: Dungeons & Dragons

Learn the ins and outs of 3D Design and 3D printing with TinkerCAD! TinkerCAD will teach you 3D design and 3D printing! While learning 3D design skills, students will make custom D&D D4s (4-sided) and D10s (10-sided). They'll also do fun D&D-inspired challenges in TinkerCAD's SimLab. The custom dies will be printed and sent home. Dies will be printed and sent home at the end of class. Printing and material fees are included. Presented by Tech Academy. 3D Engineering: Architectural & Structural Design

Bring your imagination to life. Become a master bricklayer and use our special architectural LEGO® kits to build your creations. Be an architect as you learn the principles of construction. The main goal of the course is to introduce the concept of 3-dimensions and their role in design. Students will construct buildings, structures, towers, castles, and more within teams. Students will learn construction principles and use math skills to experiment with scale and size, staggering vs. stacking bricks, and more. We'll build houses with removable roofs, castles with turrets, and towers of strength! It might just be impossible to exhaust the creative potential of LEGO® bricks. With an active imagination as your guide, there are endless possibilities. Students will be working in pairs. Presented by Tech Academy. Engineering: Rube Goldberg Machines

Chain reactions! Design and build amazing moving machines and teach our Lego bricks new tricks! With an active imagination as your guide, there are endless possibilities. Students working in pairs will learn about physics and engineering concepts such as Velocity, Projectiles, Trajectories, Force, Motion, and more. Every day students will learn new ways to combine Legos to cause different chain reactions and, on the last day, design their own Rube Goldberg Machine, film editing basics and how to use Hollywood-style special effects techniques. Possible special effects learned in the class include Star Wars animated lasers, Harry Potter spell-like effects, and other blockbuster effects. Groups' final projects will be emailed to parents, or students may bring a USB jump drive on the last day. Student photography releases must be signed for this class. Presented by Tech Academy. MUSTANGS YOUTH TENNIS ACADEMY

Join the Mounds View varsity tennis team for a summer camp! Boys and girls of all levels from across the district are welcome! Players will be taught fundamental to more advanced skills. They will participate in various drills and games that will help them improve their strokes, net game, footwork and serves. Players can develop and create new relationships in a friendly and positive environment. All proceeds will go to the Marit Swenson Shining Light Foundation and the Mounds View Tennis team.

Summer Orchestra Grade 4 (Violin/Viola )

This section of Summer Orchestra is for students entering 4th grade (or 5th grade) who will be starting the VIOLIN or VIOLA. Classes will meet Monday through Thursday for approximately 50 minutes, with additional time for set-up and tuning. All locations will use the same curriculum and you may register for any site. The final concert will take place on July 31, 6:30 p.m. at Irondale High School. Session/Location waiting lists information: Please note that if your first choice is not available, you should register and pay for a second choice session in addition to joining the waitlist for your first choice. We cannot guarantee that a space will open in your first choice class. If a spot in your first choice session becomes available, Community Education will reach out to you to confirm if you would like to switch the lesson times. Youth Scholarship/Financial Aid: Youth who are residing within the Mounds View Public Schools boundaries and currently qualify for educational benefits/free/reduced lunch may be eligible for partial scholarships to qualifying Enrichment & Activities programs. Back by popular demand! Does your young artist love to draw? This introductory drawing camp teaches kids the basic techniques and principles of drawing.
