Get ready for five days and 4 nights of awesome outdoor adventure at Wolf Ridge Environmental Learning Center’s summer camp! Climb the rock wall, swing through the treetops on the adventure ropes course, splash around in the lake with your buddies and join in on team-building games. Plus, get ready for campfires, craft times and all the classic camp stuff. Get excited for a week jam-packed with outdoor adventures and super fun memories! This camp is led by Community Education staff. Round trip motorcoach transportation between Mounds View High School and Wolf Ridge Environmental Learning Center is included in camp fee. Is your child passionate about pink? Positively possessed by purple? Then this camp is for them! We'll create all things pink, purple and as cute as can be like cupcakes piled high with pink frosting, a basket full of lovely lavender, a butterfly surrounded by fuchsia flowers, and so much more. We'll paint, draw and sculpt our way through every shade of pink and purple. The kids will be tickled pink by the projects in this camp! Not so crazy about pink and purple? Just love art and still want to take this camp? No problem! We'll have other color options available for all those who aren't so tickled pink. Presented by KidCreate Studios. Provide your child with a chance to explore beginner karate in a small low-key group. The class will focus on the fundamentals of learning Shotokan karate, which are our stances, with punching, kicking, and blocking techniques. We also do fun activities to stay engaged, and work on our ability to balance, concentrate, and work together with partners. Students will learn some Japanese customs and words that we use as part of our training.

Participants will build with the LEGO® Education WeDo robotics system to explore and learn about simple machines, engineering, programming, and so much more. Possible models may include scuba driver, clown fish, bathy scope, sea gulls, submarines, and more. Students will build LEGO® models featuring working motors, tilt sensors, motion detectors, and a LEGO® USB Robotics Hub. Presented by Tech Academy. Learn to build and launch your own rockets from common materials left over in the recycling bin. We will experiment with multiple design, building and recovery techniques. These rockets are cheap to make so it removes the anxiety of “doing it wrong!” Build it and see what happens, within the rules of model rocketry. A rocket launch time is part of the program.
