    Join your neighbors and friends for a lunch this Spring and Summer! Each month will feature a meal & dessert from a local restaurant or caterer, as well as entertainment and/or an educational presentation pertaining to the needs and interests of adults 50+. Companions of any age are welcome to attend. Hosted in partnership with the City of New Brighton and Mounds View public Schools.     Interested in a career in the data sciences fields? Explore data science and artificial intelligence with Wells Fargo in a five-day, hands-on online learning program that will be developed and taught by experienced instructors from the Wells Fargo technical community along with guest lecturers from other businesses. The Program will provide a one week introduction to: Developing intelligent machines with Python Data exploration and visualization techniques Statistical modeling and machine learning. This program is a partnership between Mound View Public Schools and Wells Fargo.

    There has been an amazing discovery! Paleontologists have just uncovered a million-year-old dig site that is full of fossils! These fossils include dinosaur bones, imprints, eggs, and more! Your help is needed to excavate these fossils and move them to museums for kids all over the world to learn about. In these lessons, students will learn about engineering, mathematics, dinosaurs and fossils as they work as paleontologists and engineers. Presented by Engineering for Kids.     Chain reactions! Design and build amazing moving machines and teach our Lego bricks new tricks! With an active imagination as your guide, there are endless possibilities. Students working in pairs will learn about physics and engineering concepts such as Velocity, Projectiles, Trajectories, Force, Motion, and more. Every day students will learn new ways to combine Legos to cause different chain reactions and, on the last day, design their own Rube Goldberg Machine, film editing basics and how to use Hollywood-style special effects techniques. Possible special effects learned in the class include Star Wars animated lasers, Harry Potter spell-like effects, and other blockbuster effects. Groups' final projects will be emailed to parents, or students may bring a USB jump drive on the last day. Student photography releases must be signed for this class. Presented by Tech Academy.
