Future Knights Boys Basketball Camp

Participate in direct skills training from Irondale High School’s coaching staff & current student athletes. These sessions will be focused on developing the overall skill level of each athlete emphasizing passing, dribbling, offensive and defensive footwork and shooting technique. Participation in sports can, and will, teach young athletes decision-making, commitment, work ethic, discipline and strong work habits. The coaches & players will provide a positive atmosphere where each athlete can fully develop. A camp T-shirt is included in the price of the camp.

Global Cuisine from Scratch - Grades 6-9

Student chefs will be engaged in cooking homemade specialty dishes from around the globe. Imagine making authentic homemade tortillas, guacamole, and quesadillas. Learn to make pasta from scratch and create an amazing sauce to with it. If you love Asian food, let's prepare our own Chinese fried rice and homemade egg rolls. Growing & Cooking with the Sun

The sun is your best friend if you know how to use it! This class teaches how to cook with just the sun. Solar cooking bypasses traditional cooking means. No electricity, gas, charcoal, or wood needed for solar cooking. Students will learn how to cook meals, dry food for preservation, and purify water all with the sun. In the end, students will build their own mini sun oven and take home a micro green plant.. Presented by GoSolar! Kidz. Henna Art - ALL AGES!

Discover the rich culture of henna. Henna is a dye prepared from leaves of a henna tree also known as Egyptian privet. Henna is temporary body art resulting from the staining of the skin from the dyes. After stains reach their peak color, they hold for a few days, then gradually wear off, typically within two to three weeks. Learn the basics of henna tattoos and practice them. Intro to Computer Science with Python

Get a head start in learning how to code as well as learning computer science concepts using one of the fundamental programming languages of professional developers. Introduction to Middle School Band

For students who are currently playing in the 5th grade, the Introduction to Middle School Band is a full band rehearsal offered Monday - Thursdays, 45 minutes each day for four weeks, and concludes with a concert for parents on Thursday, August 1 at Irondale High School at 6:30 pm. Registration for Valleyfair Performance Field trip will occur at a different date. Introduction to Middle School Orchestra - Grade 6

Make a great sound this summer! Join us for four weeks of orchestra FUN July 8 - August 1. For students who are currently playing in fifth grade orchestra offers students the opportunity to advance skills and explore a variety of music. Classes will be offered in the morning an evening. The final concert will take place on July 31, 7:30 p.m. at Irondale High School. Session/Location waiting lists information: Please note that if your first choice is not available, you should register and pay for a second choice session in addition to joining the waitlist for your first choice. We cannot guarantee that a space will open in your first choice class.
