  • Future Knights Boys Basketball Camp

    Participate in direct skills training from Irondale High School’s coaching staff & current student athletes. These sessions will be focused on developing the overall skill level of each athlete emphasizing passing, dribbling, offensive and defensive footwork and shooting technique. Participation in sports can, and will, teach young athletes decision-making, commitment, work ethic, discipline and strong work habits. The coaches & players will provide a positive atmosphere where each athlete can fully develop. A camp T-shirt is included in the price of the camp.
  • Future Knights Girls Soccer Camp

    This camp is geared towards younger players entering our program in the years to come. This camp will introduce them to soccer and increase their skill development. The focus will be on the technical and tactical understanding of the game of soccer.
  • Global Cuisine from Scratch - Grades 6-9

    Student chefs will be engaged in cooking homemade specialty dishes from around the globe. Imagine making authentic homemade tortillas, guacamole, and quesadillas. Learn to make pasta from scratch and create an amazing sauce to with it. If you love Asian food, let's prepare our own Chinese fried rice and homemade egg rolls. In addition to preparing all of our favorite international dishes, students will learn important skills such as food preparation and kitchen safety. Presented CSGA Enrichment.     The youth track clinic will give kids an opportunity to learn the basics of track and field from Irondale's girls and boys varsity track athletes. The girls and boys track programs have built strong traditions of success because of their focus on community and building strong relationships with athletes.   • Growing & Cooking with the Sun

    The sun is your best friend if you know how to use it! This class teaches how to cook with just the sun. Solar cooking bypasses traditional cooking means. No electricity, gas, charcoal, or wood needed for solar cooking. Students will learn how to cook meals, dry food for preservation, and purify water all with the sun. In the end, students will build their own mini sun oven and take home a micro green plant.. Presented by GoSolar! Kidz.     Discover the rich culture of henna. Henna is a dye prepared from leaves of a henna tree also known as Egyptian privet. Henna is temporary body art resulting from the staining of the skin from the dyes. After stains reach their peak color, they hold for a few days, then gradually wear off, typically within two to three weeks. Learn the basics of henna tattoos and practice them.     For students who are currently playing in the 5th grade, the Introduction to Middle School Band is a full band rehearsal offered Monday - Thursdays, 45 minutes each day for four weeks, and concludes with a concert for parents on Thursday, August 1 at Irondale High School at 6:30 pm. Registration for Valleyfair Performance Field trip will occur at a different date.     This camp will help players prepare for the upcoming season and improve their soccer skills. We focus on technical and tactical soccer abilities, as well as strength and conditioning, agility and quickness. There are three camps being offered this summer. Players can attend as many camps as they would like, but it is recommended for all players planning on try out attend one of the three camps.

    This camp is focused on players developing their goalie skills in the off season. Focus will be on developing skills both fundamental and agility to be successful in the goal. Open to players interested in trying goalie as well as to goalkeepers looking to continue to develop their skill set.

    This is a skill-based instructional camp. The emphasis is to improve the individual skills of each athlete. Girls will play and compete with players of similar skills.     Spend the day learning how to ride a horse, including lance and control in the saddle, leading and in-hand work. Other activities may include braiding a horse’s mane, groom, play horse tag and help feed, water and care for horses. Participants are responsible for their own transportation.
