    Learn to Play Mah Jongg

    Learn to play American style Mah Jongg with instructor Tarri Levine. Tarri shares her passion for Mah Jongg with all participants. This is a great way to learn a popular game and then join in on our three weekly Mah Jongg times for free. No need to purchase any equipment, you will borrow tiles and cards during this class. Mah Jongg is played with four players using Mah Jongg tiles and a Mah Jongg card. The goal of the game is to be the first, by picking-up and discarding tiles, to build a hand that matches a designated hand on the National Mah Jongg League card. Rules, strategies and etiquette will be taught and reinforced throughout the learning sessions.

You will learn about feeding, watering, and exercising pets, how to make a good impression as well as what questions to ask when interviewing for a pet sitting job, and what to do when a dog has behavioral issues. You will also discover other services you can offer to make more money, such as dog walking, grooming, puppy training, etc. Informative handouts for future use are included in class fee.     Meals on Wheels is a community service that delivers nutritious meals to your home with the help of volunteers. This service is available to all persons regardless of age or ability. It is a wonderful way for individuals to stay connected to their communities, remain healthy, and live independently, for as long as possible as well as those with a short term need for meals after a hospitilization/surgery. Meals are provided at a reduced rate due to generous donations from participants, foundations, and the wider community, and also through support of the Mounds View Area School District, Senior Services Consortium of Ramsey County, Metro Meals on Wheels, local Lions Club, Ramsey County Commissioners and others.
