  • Engineering: Rube Goldberg Machines

    Chain reactions! Design and build amazing moving machines and teach our Lego bricks new tricks! With an active imagination as your guide, there are endless possibilities. Students working in pairs will learn about physics and engineering concepts such as Velocity, Projectiles, Trajectories, Force, Motion, and more. Every day students will learn new ways to combine Legos to cause different chain reactions and, on the last day, design their own Rube Goldberg Machine, film editing basics and how to use Hollywood-style special effects techniques. Possible special effects learned in the class include Star Wars animated lasers, Harry Potter spell-like effects, and other blockbuster effects.     Explorers For 18 - 23 month old children by September 1, 2024 and Parent. In your Explorers Class, you will spend time with your child exploring and moving in class together. Both you and your child will be able to participate in arts and crafts, science and sensory items, playtime, and music time together. These classes also provide opportunities for social-emotional connections and problem solving skills for the child and parent. During our Wednesday class option parent and child will separate during a portion of this class. During this time, parents will meet with a Licensed Parent Educator to discuss topics of choice.     First Friends

    First Friends For 30 - 35 month old children by September 1, 2024 and Parent. The First Friends class combines ECFE and preschool together. To start, you will attend one day a week with your child. Beginning the week of January 28, your child will attend an additional day by themselves. The child-only day allows children to socialize with their peers, similar to preschool.
