  • MN High School E-Sports

    Join the Mounds View Public Schools Esports and compete against other high schools run through Minnesota Varsity League (MMVL)! Each season begins with 2 (two) weeks of preseason, followed by 8 (eight) weeks of regular season and State Finals. Each game is scheduled to be played weekly. See the dates and times below. Your team and coach will virtually check-in with each other on a weekly basis and you will be required to practice with your team 4-8+ hours a week.     Northeast Regional Open Chess Final Tournament

    Elementary and secondary chess players are invited to participate in the ""NE Regional Open Chess Final". Whether you participated in a chess club or not in the fall, winter, or spring, you are invited to compete in this short, fun tournament where you can play students from other schools and districts. Time controls will be used when necessary to keep the tournament within time constraints. The format and recognition will be based on the number of registered participants in each grade level and school. Anticipated sections will be Secondary 7th-12th, Invitational Elementary (Top Club Players), Open Elementary K-1st & 2nd-6th. Pre-registration is encouraged, but walk-ins will be accepted. Tournament etiquette and procedures will be explained at the event for players new to tournament play. Players are not eliminated. Everyone plays in each round unless there is a bye because of an odd number of participants. Typically there are 4-5 rounds. Check-in will be 30 minutes before the posted start time. A great way to end the Chess season. Concessions Available: Breakfast, Lunch & Snack Items Supervision will be provided. Parents/guardians are allow to stay, but are not allowed in the playing area and will be asked to wait in the lobby area.

  • Ultimate Frisbee - Irondale High School

    In 2024, Irondale High School will have an Open team that any Irondale student can join. Ultimate combines the non-stop movement and athletic endurance of soccer with the aerial passing skills of football. A game of Ultimate is played by two seven-player squads with a high-tech plastic disc on a field similar to football. The object of the game is to score by catching a pass in the opponent's end zone while preventing the opposing team from catching a pass in your own end zone.   • Mounds View Boys Volleyball Team

    Boys volleyball is on the rise in MN and Mounds View HS is going to join in on the excitement. Volleyball is a fast paced exciting sport that displays and demands both individual and team skills. All MVHS boys, grades 9-12, are welcome to participate. Preseason warm-ups/open gym will start on March 18th. Practices will be three days per week after that and games begin later in April.     Solvers of all levels are welcome! Take your cubing skills to the next level. Solve Rubik’s cubes, use official competition equipment, learn new algorithms and finger tricks, explore tons of twisty puzzles, create mosaics and patterns and build a robot that solves the Rubik’s cube! Participants will also receive a speed cube! Presented by Cube Enrichment.   • Irondale Boys Volleyball Team

    This spring, Irondale will once again have a boys volleyball program. We will have 3 - 4 teams playing at different levels in league play. Our goals are to improve our volleyball skills, to have fun and to prepare for next year's first ever official boys volleyball season. Our program is open to all 9th-12th grade boys attending Irondale High School. The official start date is April 1st with practices taking place weekday evenings at Irondale. The match schedules will not be finalized until late January/early February. Matches will occur against Mounds View, Roseville, SLP, Blaine, and other Northern suburban teams.   • Non-School Day Field Trip: Alice in Wonderland at the Children's Theater Company

    Take a tumble down the rabbit hole with Alice and you’ll land in a wonderfully wacky world of rhymes and ridiculousness, checkerboards and cheeky cats, Mad Hatters and mayhem. In this head-spinning show, Alice chases the White Rabbit through the audience, attends the most absurd tea party in history, and faces off with the ragingly red Queen of Hearts, all amidst a melee of teeny tiny songs. Humpty Dumpty on a ladder – what could possibly go wrong? Drop-off is at Valentine Hills Elementary School. Experience high-quality supervision and engaging non-school-day field trips for students entering grades K-6. Field trips require students to bring a bag lunch.
  • Clay Target Club - Mounds View

    Welcome new and returning athletes to the MV Clay Target Club registration site. We are looking forward to an exciting spring session. This co-ed program is offered under the administration of the MN High School Clay Target League. You must be a registered 9-12 grade student at MVHS. Please follow these steps to complete your registration for MV Clay Target Club: 1. New team members interested in participating must notify the team coach for access prior to registering. Please email mvclaytargetclub@gmail.com to obtain the access code/information for registration on the League Site. Returning students will be sent an email for registration from the league. (please email the team coach, if any problems) 2. Once the coach has given you access, registration instructions will be provided by email. Everyone who was previously on the email list will automatically receive registration instructions by March 1, 2024. If you have any problems, please send a note to mvclaytargetclub@gmail.com . 3. After you receive the registration instructions, register on the Mounds View Community Education (MVCE) website by noon March 25, 2024. The $190.00 registration/team/round fees will be collected by MVCE. The fees include the $10 MVCE fee + $180 team fee, which includes two rounds/week (8 weeks x $18/week), booster fee. 4. Spring Scoring – FYI – The Trap League has gone back to the original scoring procedures. The scores for the weekly shoot have to be input by Saturday at 9pm for that week, or it does not get entered. Please plan on shooting on our scheduled time for Sundays. If you have a job, please plan accordingly.

    Your student will be exposed to the excitement of drawing and animating dinosaur expressions and funny anime characters. These drawings will delight students as they learn how to draw dynamic figures and action-filled scenes. Your funny bone will be tickled when you see the humorous, floral-inspired personas created in our flower characters lesson.   • Youth Karate

    Karate can help students of all ages build stamina, strength, coordination, and confidence. Our goal is to improve our karate through repetition, concentration, and self awareness. This strengthens the connection between our mind and our body as we explore stances, blocks, punches and kicks. We will work on these techniques as part of individual training (kihon) as well as partner work (kumite). In addition, we will introduce the first Katas, which help us develop a better understanding of how karate can be applied.

    Floor Hockey Skills provides players a well-rounded hockey experience covering a broad range of skills training and skill-based games. Players will be taught how to properly stickhandle, pass, shoot, and play defense in a fun and positive environment. Athletes should bring a water bottle. Sticks and pucks are provided.     You may be considering having your child stay home alone for the first time and wondering how you will know if they are ready. In this class, children 8-13 years of age will learn the necessary skills and knowledge to be safe and responsible when home alone for short periods of time. Topics to be covered will include: how to answer the phone/door, kitchen safety, how to handle weather emergencies, community awareness and much more! A collaborative class with St. Anthony Community Services.
  • Story Time Pottery: Spring Bunny

    Join us for a great spring story and painting pottery. Participants will paint their own spring-themed bunny pottery piece to go along with our story. Pottery pick-up will be at the Mounds View Schools District Center. Presented by Odd Frog Creations.     Looking for a fun non-school day filled with fun sports activities? This multi-sport camp includes fun skills training and games in soccer, basketball and flag football.   • Babysitting & CPR Training

    Learn the skills and knowledge to be a safe babysitter for infants up to children 10 years of age! You will learn how to stay safe, play with kids, handle household emergencies, feeding and bath time and given resources on how to market your babysitting services. You will even get certified in CPR and AED training. A collaborative class with St. Anthony Community Services. Bring a snack/lunch to eat that day.
  • My Little Horse Camp

    Campers will get to ride a real horse in an arena, meet a number of different horses at Boulder Pointe and learn how to groom the horses, all with a focus on safety! In addition, students will have an opportunity to make horse treats to feed their new friends. This two-hour camp is designed for parent/guardian participation and they are expected to remain with their child during the entire duration of the camp.   • Pickleball Coed (Non-competitive)

    Pickleball is the fastest growing sport in America right now! Learn the rules and basic skills of pickleball, no experience necessary! All students grades 6-8 are encouraged to play. Practice is Monday & Wednesday from 2:30-3:40pm; non-competitive (this class does not compete against the two other district middle schools). Activities will not meet on non-school days.     Track and field is a coed sport which combines various athletic contests based on the skills of running, jumping, and throwing. All students grade 6 - 8 are encouraged to participate. No experience is needed. Activities will not meet on non-school days. Activity buses are available after practice for eligible students at 3:45pm. Meet day busing will bring all students to host school and return remaining students to their home school ONLY (times will be determined once meets are scheduled).
