  • Basketball Tykes

    Basketball Tykes provides players an introductory experience to the great game of basketball through fun skill-based drills and mini-games. Players will be taught how to properly dribble, pass, shoot and play defense in a fun and positive environment. Presented by Dash Sports. Reduced Fees & Financial Assistance: Youth who are residing within the Mounds View Public Schools boundaries and currently qualify for educational benefits and/or free/reduced lunch may be eligible for reduced fees and partial scholarships to qualifying Enrichment & Activities programs.   • Beginner/Intro to Archery

    During this class students will learn the fundamental skills of archery, providing great opportunities for awarding achievement, and helps archers to enjoy the sport recreationally or progress to the excitement of competition. Equipment is provided, feel free to bring your own if you have it.
  • Fall Youth Wrestling

    The youth wrestling program is designed to be an introductory wrestling program for elementary students. The program will focus on teaching kids the basic fundamental skills, techniques, and rules of wrestling through fun games and activities. Participants will also be able to compete in an end-of-the-season in-house tournament.

    Youth Enrichment League (YEL) fencing classes follows four basic components: teaching, practicing, moving and playing. Safety is our first priority. We supply safety swords, protective masks, chest plates and jackets in a high-octane, inclusive environment. Presented by YEL.   • Irondale Youth Volleyball Clinic

    The Irondale Volleyball team will be hosting a Volleyball clinic open to all students in grades 2-8 The clinic will be conducted by the Irondale Volleyball Team who will be on hand to provide tips on volleyball skills and what it is like to be a high school athlete. Clinic participants will be able to spend time in each of the following areas: Passing Serving Tipping Setting Digging Blocking Hitting Area Games Footwork Dynamic warm-up Strength and Conditioning T-shirts and a light lunch will be provided for each participant
  • Mounds View Performance Youth Dance Clinic

    Do you love to dance? Are you excited about performing in front of a crowd? Do you want to show your school spirit? The Mounds View dance clinic is an exciting opportunity to learn and perform a dance routine choreographed by the The Mounds View Performance Team (MVPT). Parents and spectators are invited to see the dancers perform the routines they learned. This is a special opportunity to let families focus on their dancer, to bring additional guests and to have unlimited photo opportunities on the field. Clinic registrants will learn about the Mounds View dance team, as well as receive dance instruction and time to practice the choreographed routines. It is a fun, social time to spend with others interested in dance. Check in is from 8:30 am to 9:00 am. Clinic will be held from 9:00 am to 1:00pm. Parents and spectators are invited to return to the MVHS stadium at 1 pm the day of the clinic to see the dancers perform the routines they learned as well as see performances by the MVPT. Clinic participants should wear shorts/leggings and dance, jazz, or tennis shoes. Clinic t-shirt will be provided at check in. Bring a bag lunch and a water bottle. Please bring cash if interested in purchasing concessions at the field show.   • Multi-Sport One-Day Camp

    Looking for a fun non-school day filled with fun sports activities? This multi-sport camp includes fun skills training and games in soccer, basketball and flag football. Athletes will spend roughly two hours on each sport, performing instructor-led fun skill-based activities and games. Presented by Dash Sports.   • Ninja Warrior Day Camp

    What could be better on a day off of school than a day of ninja fun?! Participants will enjoy hands-on open gym, Ninja games, demos from experienced ninjas, timed obstacle courses, challenges, a ninja movie and lots more! Two slices of pizza and a Gatorade are included for lunch. Location: Ninja Warrior Blaine
  • Pre-Karate

    Provide your child with a chance to explore beginner karate in a small low-key group. The class will focus on the fundamentals of learning Shotokan karate, which are our stances, with punching, kicking, and blocking techniques. We also do fun activities to stay engaged, and work on our ability to balance, concentrate, and work together with partners. Students will learn some Japanese customs and words that we use as part of our training.
  • Youth Karate

    Karate can help students of all ages build stamina, strength, coordination, and confidence. Our goal is to improve our karate through repetition, concentration, and self awareness. This strengthens the connection between our mind and our body as we explore stances, blocks, punches and kicks. We will work on these techniques as part of individual training (kihon) as well as partner work (kumite). In addition, we will introduce the first Katas, which help us develop a better understanding of how karate can be applied.
