    Young Rembrandts students will be drawing expressive Cartoon characters, learning about Pets personification, expressions and color technique. Once a month we celebrate different artists and styles as we talk about Pop Art and architecture. If you sign up after the available date you will receive your link to lessons in 1-2 business days.     Do you love Lego’s? I do! You don’t need anything except your imagination and a bucket of Legos. In this club we will google meet together and create anything you want following directions or just playing with bricks! If you share a love for Legos this is a club for you. Materials/Equipment needed: Students will need internet and access to a device to connect to google meets. Students will need to provide their own Legos to build with.
  • Mounds View Boys Volleyball

    Boys volleyball is on the rise in MN and Mounds View HS is going to join in on the excitement. Volleyball is a fast paced exciting sport that displays and demands both individual and team skills. All MVHS boys, grades 9-12, are welcome to participate.Preseason warm-ups will be held on Mondays throughout March and tryouts will be April 12th and 13th. Practices will be three days per week after that and games begin later in April. It will be possible to earn a letter.     Irondale will have both a boys and girls team. Ultimate combines the non-stop movement and athletic endurance of soccer with the aerial passing skills of football. A game of Ultimate is played by two seven-player squads with a high-tech plastic disc on a field similar to football. The object of the game is to score by catching a pass in the opponent's end zone while preventing the opposing team from catching a pass in your own end zone. Parent Information Meeting: The Parent Information Meeting will be on Wednesday March 3rd at 7:00 pm. This meeting is required for all participants and a parent. This year the parent information night will be held virtually, the connection information will be emailed out to everyone on the registration list the day of the meeting.   • Online 3D Design & Printing w/TinkerCAD

    Challenge your creativity by designing 3D objects using Computer Aided Design software and then printing your designs. Learn about scale when prototyping a design that is not at full size. Also design an object that is at functional scale and usable! We will be using 3D printers and CAD software. Design challenges will be based on student experience if they have used the equipment and software before. Past projects have included game pieces, tools for Lego Mini Figures, and so much more!
  • After School Online Cooking/Baking

    Student cooks will be challenged with 1 cooking project each meeting. The next cooking project will be discussed 1 week prior for the next meeting in order to acquire the ingredients. Younger participants may need the assistance of an adult. The cooking projects will require between 30-45 minutes to create. Any cooking time may be required after the meeting. A responsible adult is asked to supervise and assist with task as needed.
  • Afternoon Online Chess Club

    Whether you consider yourself a beginner or intermediate player, join this online club to interact with other district chess players. Learn how chess is played online and play on a weekly basis to improve your skills. Join the group for pool play during the scheduled meeting times. In between Pool Play meetings, there are opportunities for small group lessons and lots of tools to analyze and improve your game. In addition to Standard Chess, there are other cool variations such as 4 Player Chess, Anti-Chess, CrazyHouse & Atomic. Individual help for new players to chess also by appointment. Optional Saturday Morning Help Sessions 7:30-8:30am Materials and Equipment: Students will need a method of accessing the internet during meetings. Video & Audio are required for lesson formats, but are optional for Pool Play.

    We will have both a boys and girls middle school teams. Ultimate combines the non-stop movement and athletic endurance of soccer with the aerial passing skills of football. A game of Ultimate is played by two seven-player squads with a high-tech plastic disc on a field similar to football. The object of the game is to score by catching a pass in the opponent's end zone while preventing the opposing team from catching a pass in your own end zone. This team is part of a competitive Middle School League. Games will be held on Sundays throughout the metro area. A game schedule will be distributed by coaches.   • Knitting and Crocheting for beginners- Interactive Online Class

    Ever want to learn how to knit? Come explore a craft that is fun and interesting. With materials provided,(curbside pick up) students will learn basic knitting and crocheting skills via ZOOM each week. They will create a project of their choice. Students will receive an email with a survey of color and choice of yarn and materials pick up options. Materials and Equipment: Students will need a method of accessing the internet during meetings. We will use air-dry clay, paint, glitter and lots of love to create this masterpiece. What a great keepsake!   • Learn About Horses Day Camp

    Spend the day learning how to ride a horse, including balance and control in the saddle, leading and in-hand work. Other activities may include braiding a horse’s mane, groom, play horse tag and help feed, water and care for horses. Parent/guardian required to drop off and pick up at Boulder Pointe.   • Summer 2021 High School Hybrid Fitness for Life

    MANDATORY Parent/Student Orientation June 1, 2021 at 6:45 p.m. (approximately 30 minutes) Location TBD Both a parent or guardian and the student must attend the orientation session in June for each enrolled course. Priority for both courses will be as follows: First priority next year's seniors, then juniors, then sophomores, then freshman who will attend Mounds View School Fall 2021. Mandatory Seminar Dates June 16, June 30, July 14, July 28, August 11, August 18 7:30-9:00 a.m. Location TBD This is a hybrid course combining traditional in-class instruction with online assignments. Attendance at the mandatory parent/student orientation is a requirement for the course. This course emphasizes lifetime physical fitness, wellness, sport skills and sport concepts. The physical fitness component includes muscular strength and conditioning, cardiovascular endurance, flexibility and fitness planning. The wellness component examines fitness and nutrition concepts that will help students make healthy decisions. Sport skills and concepts include lifetime skills, rules of play, etiquette and sportsmanship. The goal of this class is to explore activities that young people could adopt as lifelong activities. This course offers .5 credit of compacted curriculum. After completion of the course, students will receive a letter grade which will become part of the student’s transcript. Available to students entering grades 9-12 in Fall 2021. As of March 30, registration limited to next year's seniors. Enrollment is limited. You will receive official confirmation of admittance to the course by April 16. If not admitted to the course your registration fee will be refunded.   • Mustang 9th grade Football camp

    This camp will be an opportunity for all of our incoming 9th grade football players to get acclimated to the program. All campers will learn the values of being a Mustang Football Player, learn the foundation of our offensive and defensive schemes and learn the fundamentals for their specific position. Campers will work along side our varsity coaching staff and senior leaders. We are looking forward to working alongside the class of 2025. Football cleats are all that is needed. Students are responsible for bringing their own water bottle.

    Come join Mounds View High School varsity volleyball coach Tom Weko for a great two weeks of learning the game of volleyball. Players will be grouped by grade and playing ability with a maximum of 8:1 player to coach ratio. Fundamentals and advanced skills will be taught based on age and ability. Current Mounds View players as well as former and current college players will help provide instruction each day. Contests and games will be held daily. Participants will receive a T-shirt.
