Summer 2020 High School Hybrid Health
MANDATORY Parent/Student Orientation May 26, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. (approximately 30 minutes)Mounds View High School Forum1900 Lake Valentine Rd, Arden HillsBoth a parent or guardian and the student must attend the orientation session in May for each enrolled course. Priority for both courses will be as follows: First priority next year's seniors, then juniors, then sophomores who will attend Mounds View School Fall 2020. Enrollment is limited. You will receive official confirmation of admittance to the course by April 1. If not admitted to the course your registration fee will be refunded.Available to students entering grades 10-12 in Fall 2020 only. This is a hybrid course combining traditional in-class instruction with online assignments. Attendance at the mandatory parent/student orientation is a requirement for the course. The Health course builds and reinforces individual awareness of many health-related issues. Topics of study include mental health and communication, prevention of alcohol, tobacco and other drug use, CPR, human sexuality, and aging and loss. Students can earn an American Heart Association “Heartsaver in the Schools” CPR card. If a student would like a CPR card the cost is $5.50. The purchase of the card is optional and not required for successful completion of the course. This course offers .5 credit of compacted curriculum. After completion of the course, students will receive a letter grade which will become part of the student’s transcript. Preschool and PreK programs providing a safe learning environment for students ages 3 to 5 years old.
Childcare is provided by trained paraprofessionals for children enrolled in our PreK classes. Before & After care is available at Snail Lake Education Center.
