  • Bowling - Irondale Team

    What has 10 pins and you throw a ball? If you guessed bowling, you’re correct! Irondale High School has a Bowling team, Yes, a Bowling team. Team is coed and grades 7 – 12 are welcome to join the team. Practices begin in August 12th. We meet at the Mermaid on Mondays at 3:30pm ( Exception, the Tuesday after Labor Day) Competitions are held on Fridays beginning in September at area Bowling centers, the matches start at 3:45pm. The Irondale Bowling team competes in the Minnesota High School Bowling League . The season wraps up in mid –November, unless a State tournament berth is won, State is held in early December.   • Bowling - Mounds View Team

    Do Mustangs bowl? Yes? Mounds View High School has a bowling team! Both young men and women in grades 7 thru 12 are eligible to join the team. Practice for the 2019 season is on Mondays from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. beginning August 12th at Flaherty's Arden Bowl. Matches against other schools are on Fridays at 3:30 p.m. beginning after school starts at several area bowling centers. The season concludes In mid November unless a state tournament berth is earned. The state tournament is held in December.  Participants must provide their own transportation to and from all practices and matches.   • Mounds View Mustang Boys Varsity Team Camp

    The Mounds View Mustang Varsity Team Camp will provide opportunities for player skill development along with team strategies for summer game play. The Camp is intended for Varsity basketball candidates who will be trying out for the high school team in the fall. Players should come prepared for high intensity work-outs.
  • Youth Mental Health First Aid Workshop

    Mental Health First Aid for Youth workshop for Mounds View Schools Teachers and StaffAmy Jones (parent, educational consultant, licensed teacher for 25 years, School Board member) is offering a mental health workshop for MV staff this spring. If these fill, additional sessions will be added this summer. This informative and engaging workshop is perfect for people who work (or live) with students age 10-18."Did you know that 1 in 5 children age 13-18 have or will have a mental illness? Youth Mental Health First Aid teaches you how to help an adolescent who is experiencing a mental health challenge or is in crisis. The workshop is designed for adults who regularly interact with young people. The course introduces common mental health challenges for youth, reviews typical development, and teaches an action plan for how to help young people in both crisis and non-crisis situations. Topics covered include: anxiety, depression, substance use, psychosis, AD/HD, eating disorders and suicide prevention." Participants who complete the course will receive 8 CEUs (which satisfies the mental health and suicide prevention requirements). You will also be certified Mental Health First Aiders by the National Council for Behavioral Health for 3 years.$20 Course Fee covers the cost of the Resource Text.
