Adult Trips: MN Landscape ArboretumAdult Activities & EnrichmentClimb aboard the Tram as we explore the MN Landscape Arboretum. Best known for its beautiful display gardens, nationally recognized tree collections, protected natural areas and research activity the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum is a 1,200-acre public garden in Chaska, Minnesota. Our day will include a narrated tram tour of the 3-mile facility, display gardens and the farm at the Arboretum. Lunch with choice of sandwich, chips, cookie and water will be enjoyed in the cafe area. The Council supports and promotes lifelong learning opportunities that are responsive to community needs and enhance the quality of life for people of all ages, abilities and cultures. Our council consists of up to 20 members representing our city partners, program area experts, and community members. The Community Education Council provides feedback and support to the following areas: Programs, classes, policies, services, and facilities Promotes and fosters new programs and coordinates these with existing community programs to avoid unnecessary duplication. Community Provides input anticipating the needs and wants of the community as they relate to community education. Glass Mosaic Trivet or SignAdult Activities & EnrichmentCreate a beautiful trivet or custom sign. All the cutting is already done and stencils are provided. Popular signs include “welcome”, house numbers, state of MN, last names. Both projects are wonderful for home decorations or to give as gifts. The first night is dedicated to working on your project, having fun, and discovering your creative side. The second night is using grout, so bring some old towels. After your project is finished, you will learn about glass cutting, mosaic resources, and other types of mosaics.
