After School Online Cooking/BakingYouth Activities (K-12 grade)Student cooks will be challenged with 1 cooking project each meeting. The next cooking project will be discussed 1 week prior for the next meeting in order to acquire the ingredients. Younger participants may need the assistance of an adult. The cooking projects will require between 30-45 minutes to create. Any cooking time may be required after the meeting. PopularClay Target League - IrondaleHigh SchoolIrondale Clay Target - Spring 2021 Welcome new and returning athletes to the IHS Clay Target Club registration site. We are looking forward to an exciting spring session. This coed program is offered under the administration of the MN High School Clay Target League. Please follow these 2 steps to complete your registration for IHS Clay Target Club: ***To participate in the Clay Target League you must meet the following prerequisites:*** All athletes must have a MN DNR Hunter Safety certificate to participate - Safety is always First! See the DNR’s website for more information (www.mndnr.gov). (deadline to provide proof of certificate is March 26th ) All athletes must be enrolled at IHS in grades 9-12. Register on the Mounds View Community Education (MVCE) website by noon on March 26th, 2021. MVCE will be collecting the range fees (clay target and puller tips) for the 7 week season. Total fees are $136 if you only plan to participate in Trap. An additional $126 will be required if you add Skeet. Range fees 7 weeks, 2 rounds a week, $8 per round = $112 Range Tip $1 per round, 7 weeks, 2 rounds a week = $14 $10 Mounds View Community Education fee After registering with MVCE, you will be sent an email with a link to register with the Minnesota Clay Target League. Due to League registration changes, each athlete will pay their league fees directly to Minnesota Clay Target League ($35). You will have until noon on March 26th, 2021 to complete your registration. This co-ed program is offered under the administration of the MN High School Clay Target League. ***We will be practicing social distancing and wear facemasks*** You must be a registered 9-12 grade student at MVHS. Please follow these steps to complete your registration for MV Clay Target Club: 1. New team members interested in participating must notify the team coach for access prior to registering. Please email mvclaytargetclub@gmail.com to obtain the access code/information for registration on the League Site. Returning students will be sent an email for registration from the league. (please email the team coach, if any problems) 2. Once the coach has given you access, registration instructions will be provided by email. Everyone who was previously on the email list will automatically receive registration instructions by February 23, 2021. After you receive the registration instructions, register on the Mounds View Community Education (MVCE) website by noon March 29, 2021. Coding Club: Creative Game DesignYouth S.T.E.M.Game Design is a multifaceted discipline that has many requirements beyond simply coding. This class dives into the creative aspects of Game Design as students come up with their own stories to tell through the medium of a platforming game. Students will do worldbuilding activities to ensure their games have a cohesive theme and vision as they create their characters and levels. All of these will culminate in a class-wide arcade day, where students will get to show off their games to the entire class! Cook-a-long: Homemade Falafel & Mediterranean Wraps With Homemade Pita Bread!Adult Activities & EnrichmentHave some fun participating in this virtual COOK-ALONG class as we combine the use of the Instant Pot® with conventional cooking to create two wonderfully nutritious and delicious wraps. Choose one for your cook-along, and watch a demonstration of the other or if you like create both! The recipe options for this class are Homemade Falafel and Mediterranean Kebabi Wraps! We will also be making homemade pita bread and sauces all from scratch! We will be using the Instant Pot® for a portion the cooking process as we create the Falafel. The remainder of the cooking will be conventional. “Kebabi” are a type of “Kebab”. We will be creating our own version of Kebabi infused with mild spices and herbs, shaped in a way you could never imagine! These are all delicious recipes that will become family favorites guaranteed! Make lasting memories in your kitchen if you decide to have your children, your spouse or your partner join you! Have your questions answered by the instructor, interact with other participants as you cook along, and increase your confidence in using your electric pressure cooker and your conventional cooking skills. While cooking-along is loads of fun, it is optional. Included in this fee is a copy of the instructor’s personal recipes and preparation guide professionally created in PDF format. Participants will receive a list of ingredients in advance of the class to allow time for shopping. This class will take place on Zoom, a free on-line software. Participants will receive instructions on how to access the class prior to it starting. As an added bonus, the instructor has created a private group on Facebook exclusively for participants of her cooking classes. Everyone will receive an invite to the group although joining is optional.
