Online Chess Club -Elementary

Whether you consider yourself a beginner or intermediate player, join this online club to interact with other district chess players online. Learn how chess is played online and play on a weekly basis to improve your skills. Join the group for pool play during the scheduled meeting times. In between Pool Play meetings,there are opportunities for small group lessons and lots of tools to analyze and improve your game. In addition to Standard Chess, there are other cool variations like Anti-Chess, CrazyHouse, & Atomic to name just a few.

New Format:

  • Online Chess will be available in a open play format for all students from 7:30a.m to 9:15 a.m. or the start of their school day Monday-Thursday.  
  • Chess participants will be able to login anytime within the window for Open pool Play of Mondays and Wednesdays and for instructional time on Tuesday and Thursdays. 
  • Chess participants can play one session a week or up to four sessions a week.

Please note participants are not allowed to be online during their scheduled school day.  If a participant violates this they will be removed from the program without refund.

Materials and Equipment: Students will need a method of accessing the internet during meetings. Video & Audio are required for lesson formats, but are optional for Pool Play.
