3D Engineering: Architectural & Structural Design

Bring your imagination to life. Become a master bricklayer and use our special architectural LEGO® kits to build your creations. Be an architect as you learn the principles of construction. The main goal of the course is to introduce the concept of 3-dimensions and their role in design. Students will construct buildings, structures, towers, castles, and more within teams. Students will learn construction principles and use math skills to experiment with scale and size, staggering vs. stacking bricks, and more. We'll build houses with removable roofs, castles with turrets, and towers of strength! It might just be impossible to exhaust the creative potential of LEGO® bricks. With an active imagination as your guide, there are endless possibilities. Students will be working in pairs. Presented by Tech Academy. DASH Sports Summer basketball camps provide players with a well-rounded basketball experience covering a broad range of skills training and skill-based games. Glitter, sequins and jewels, oh my! We will be-dazzle all the art projects we craft in this camp. We’ll make tons of sparkly projects including; bracelets, glittery snow globes, and a jewelry box. We will even glitter-fy our fingernails! The kids will learn different art terms and techniques as they work with air-dry clay, Model Magic®, watercolors and more dazzling art supplies. There has been an amazing discovery! Paleontologists have just uncovered a million-year-old dig site that is full of fossils! These fossils include dinosaur bones, imprints, eggs, and more! Your help is needed to excavate these fossils and move them to museums for kids all over the world to learn about. In these lessons, students will learn about engineering, mathematics, dinosaurs and fossils as they work as paleontologists and engineers. Presented by Engineering for Kids. DASH Sports Floor Hockey Tykes camps provide little athletes an introductory hockey experience covering a broad range of skills training and skill-based games. Players will be taught how to properly stickhandle, pass, and shoot in a fun and positive environment. Athletes should bring a water bottle and wear athletic clothing & shoes. Sticks and pucks are provided. Parent participation is required for the 2-3yr old age group and recommended when needed for the 4+ year old age group.
