Bling It On!

Glitter, sequins and jewels, oh my! We will be-dazzle all the art projects we craft in this camp. We’ll make tons of sparkly projects including; bracelets, glittery snow globes, and a jewelry box. We will even glitter-fy our fingernails! The kids will learn different art terms and techniques as they work with air-dry clay, Model Magic®, watercolors and more dazzling art supplies. Bloxel Builders: Video Game Design

Calling all game developers! Students in this camp enjoy creating their own games with character, enemy and plot development. Using the Bloxels Edu system, they turn their game ideas into a digital video game. They will use a special game board and blocks to design the characters, levels, and other art for their games. They then capture their creations using the Bloxels app, where they edit and customize their game, deciding how each of the elements interact and behave. Students will walk away with a fun playable game on a tablet or computer, and invaluable experience with logic and programming. Presented by Engineering for Kids. Chippewa Jazz Band - 6th Grade

Come play fun music with your friends! Jazz Band will give students an opportunity to explore new types of music and new styles of playing in a fun, low-pressure environment. Currently open to any 6th grade band student at Chippewa, regardless of instrument. Concert will be on May 2, 2024. Hack into the code of classic games! Students will learn Java coding skills while modifying games such as Asteroids, Tetris, Snake, and more! Coding beginners and more experienced students will love this class. This fun class is our staff and students' favorite codling class.
